Funeral services were conducted here Tuesday afternoon in Zion Evangelical U.B. church for Mrs. George Fahrenbruch, 86, who died Saturday at the McCook hospital following an extended illness. Rev. M.G. Braun, pastor of the church, officiated.

Singers for the service were Mrs. Willard Rippen and Mrs. M.G. Braun, with Miss Sharon Deines as organist. The pallbearers were Henry Albert, Ed Wacker, Albert Nowka, E.W. Eisenhart, Jack Deines, and John Bauer Sr. Burial was in the Culbertson cemetery under direction of the Herrmann funeral home of McCook.

Mrs. Lena Hill Fahrenbruch, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hill, was born September 14, 1871 at Waldorf, Russia and died October 12, 1957 in McCook, Nebraska at the age of 86 years and 28 days.

At the age of 18 she came to the United States, settling at Sutton, Nebraska. On December 27, 1891 she married George Fahrenbruch of Sutton. In 1904 Mrs. Fahrenbruch and her husband moved to Culbertson, where she made her home until about a year ago.

Mr. and Mrs. Fahrenbruch had seven children, three sons and four daughters. Three of the daughters and one son are deceased, Martha having died in infancy; Mrs. Lena Crews having died in 1930; Mrs. Amelia Roth on September 23, 1957; and William in 1921. The father of the family died February 23, 1944.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Frank (Pauline) Wagner of Culbertson; two sons, Dr. Fred Fahrenbruch of Mount Holly, New Jersey; and Harry Fahrenbruch of Las Cruces, New Mexico; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
