Bob has lived in the Milton community for over 43 years. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era and had worked for Kemper Cabinets and D&M. Bob enjoyed playing yahtzee and solving puzzles, he was an avid Cincinnati Reds and I.U. basketball fan and had a vast collection of I.U. memorabilia. Bob loved spending time with his grandkids and watching them grow up.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years Carole J. (Johnson) Conningham whom he married in Indianapolis on September 10, 1962; son- Bobby Conningham of Milton; daughters- Noel Brockman (Dwight) of Richmond, Lorrena Neff (Chris) of Cambridge City and Carole Sherwood(Jim Eliason) of Centerville; 5 grandchildren - Alex Sherwood, Kristin, Karlie, Kerrigan and Kyle Neff, and several nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, 6 brothers and 8 sisters.
Services will be Wednesday March 2, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marshall & Erlewein Funeral Home, Dublin. Burial will follow at the West Side Cemetery in Milton. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 on Tuesday March 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
