Mrs. Otto Butke, Richmond
Whitewater - Mrs. Otto Butke, 49, died at her home on the Richmond road Monday night following a week's illness with pneumonia. Before her marriage she was Lena Wendorf and was born, Feb. 13, 1884 in Jefferson County. While a small girl, she moved with her family to Richmond, on April 3, 1905 she was married to Otto Butke.
Seven children were born to the couple, five of whom survive; Wesley, Earl, Fern, Harley and Kenneth. Two sisters, Mrs. Ed Bellman, Whitewater, Mrs. John Pohl, Richmond, and five brothers Henry Wendorf, Millard; Edward Wendorf, Richmond; Herman and Fred Wendorf, Waukesha, also survive.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thrusday at the home and at 2 p.m. in the German Lutheran church at Richmond, the Rev. F. W. Loeper officiating. Burial will be in Richmond.
