Mrs. Gust Anderson, 1327 Forty-second street, Rock Island, a resident of the city 37 years, died at 9:15 o'clock last night in the Moline Lutheran hospital following an illness of six months.
Mrs. Anderson, whose maiden name was Miss Esther Amelia Sanden, was born June 9, 1875 in McPherson, Kan., the daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. P.J. Sanden. She received her education in Kansas and in Porter, Ind., and was married Sept. 29, 1900 in Rock Island to Gust Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was a member of Trinity Lutheran church, Moline.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ebba Nelson of Rock Island; a son, Floris Anderson of Peoria; four brothers, Arvid and Martin Sanden of Ogdon, Iowa, Hugo Sanden of Omaha, Neb. and the Rev. E. H. Sanden of Foley, N.D.; a sister, Mrs. Hilma Sjellberg of Rock Island; and a granddaughter, Marilyn Nelson of Rock Island. A brother, Hjalmar Sanden, died Dec. 27, 1927.
The body was removed to the Knox mortuary where funeral services will be held at 1:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Walter A. Tillberg, pastor of Trinity Lutheran church, will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery.
