August Lebsack
August Lebsack, 84, 4354 S.E. 14th St., died Sunday in McKee Medical Center.
The son of Fred and Henrietta Brown Lebsack, he was born Jan 15, 1902, in Minden, Neb. He married Alvina Hofferber on Jan 31, 1922, in Loveland.
He came to Loveland with his parents from Minden when he was a child. He farmed with his son, Robert L Lebsack, until 1968, when he retired.
He was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church. During his membership, he served on the board of trustees, the building committee and also directed the choir. He was a member of the Longmont Symphony, the Loveland Organ Club and the Larimer County Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his wife, Alvina Lebsack, Loveland; a son, Robert R and wife, Donalie, Lebsack of Loveland; three grandchildren, Mrs. Dave (Sheryl) Stroh, San Jose, Calif., Mrs. Devin (Jackie) Anderson of Loveland and Mrs. Dave (Janna) Dunkle, Loveland; three great-grandchildren, Shelly and Brian Stroh of San Jose and Brittanny Dunkle of Loveland; a brother, the Rev. Herman Lebsack of Fort Collins; three sisters, Clara Ziegler, Oceanside, Calif., Bertha Sitzman, Longmont and Helen Hecker of Free Soil, Mich., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
A service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Trinity United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Huff officiating.
Burial will be in Loveland Burial Park.
