Sister Superior M. Catherine, superior of the Holy Family school in Clarkston and member of the order of the Sisters of Notre Dame, headquarters at Mankato, Minn, died last night at 8:45 at St. Joseph's hospital.
Sister Catherine had undergone an operation Thursday to relieve an abnormal condition that had been treated unsuccessfully for some time before her coming to Clarkston in August.
Before arriving in this valley she was for sox years Superior in the school at New England, N.D.
