Velma Elizabeth Michel, 86, of Prairie du Chien, passed away April 2, 2011 at the Prairie Maison Care Center in Prairie du Chien.
Velma was born March 26, 1925 in Eastman, WI. She was the daughter of Kilian and Sara Mae "Sadie" (Grover) Michel.
Velma attended school in Eastman and then attended the school for the blind in Janesville.
She later moved to West Allis and in 1993 she moved back to Prairie du Chien.
Velma enjoyed playing the harmonica and entertaining people at the nursing home.
She is survived by one sister, Catherine (Milton) Cospey of Prairie du Chien and one brother, Horace (Alice) Michel of Ferryville, along with several nieces and nephews.
