Henry Yurk, 85, a former resident of the Wasserman Apartments, died at 6 a.m. Sunday in St. Nicholas Hospital following a brief illness. He had been a resident of the Meadow View Manor for the past three months.
He was born Aug. 30, 1888, at Reinwald, Russia, the son of the late Philip and Sophie Yurk and came to Sheboygan in 1907.
Mr. Yurk was employed as a mason for various local construction firms before retiring in 1953.
In 1943, he married Mrs. Dorothea Kramer, also of Sheboygan.
She died on April 16, 1963.
Surviving are a sister. Mrs. Ruth Hershey of Los Angeles and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Ballhorn Funeral Chapels. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call at the chapels from 6 to 9 p.m. today, and until time of services Tuesday.
