For a long time perhaps no death has come with such a shock at that of Ruth Shelton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fowler Shelton, on last Monday morning. She seemed until the last week to be in perfect health, and a slight cold gave no worry to her parents. However, on last Saturday she became worse as it was thought for a time she had pneumonia. Later on Sabbath morning it developed into Diphtheria, and all the skill of doctors was not able to stay the advance of the disease, which sapped the life of the little one. ...
The funeral was held in the Presbyterian Church on Tuesday morning and was conducted by the Rev. W.E. Finley, assisted by Rev. W.L. Rexford. After this the body was laid away in the Pritchard Graveyard.∼Dau. of Fowler & Sophia Shelton
