CASPER - Mass of Christian Burial for Casper resident Rosemary Higgins, 80, will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
Vigil will begin at 7 p.m. today, Jan. 28.
She died Jan. 26, 2005, at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center in Paradise Valley.
Born April 14, 1924, in Cudahy, Wis., she was the daughter of Edward and Hilda (Fruedenburg) Koerschner; and was raised and educated in Milwaukee.
In 1947, she married Joseph A. Frank in Milwaukee. He died in 1954.
She married Larry R. Higgins on Aug. 17, 1957, in Denver.
The couple moved to Casper in 1971.
She was a registered nurse.
Her interests included her church, children, and her family.
Survivors include her husband of 47 years; four daughters, Mary Murphy and her husband of Estes Park, Colo., and Ann, Margaret and Amy Higgins of Casper; five sons, Joe Higgins and his wife of Grand Junction, Colo., John Higgins of Tucson, Ariz., James and Larry Higgins of Casper and Andy Higgins of Bend, Ore.; two sisters and their husbands, Barbara Wichgers and Loretta Plevah; four brothers and their wives, Ed, John, William and Fred Koerschner; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
In addition to her first husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Grady; and her first-born child.
Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Fatima Church.
