John Jacob Kerbel, 85, of 39 W. Arndt St., died at 11:15 a.m. Friday at St. Agnes Hospital. Born Feb. 22, 1883, in Grimm, Russia, of German descent, his parents were Christian Jacob and Margaret Wolff Kerbel. He married Catherine M. Leonhardt Jan. 28, 1909, and became a resident of Fond du Lac in 1912. He was a carpenter. Surviving besides his widow are three daughters, Miss Lydia Kerbel at home, Mrs. Herman Schnell, Chicago, and Mrs. Emma Albrandt, 279 E. Bank St.; two sons, Jacob . of Milwaukee and Alex, Fort Atkin son; a brother, Philip of Glen- view, 111.; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church with Rev. Karl Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in Estabrooks Cemetery. Friends may call at Bidlingmaier Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Sunday until 10:30 a.m. Monday and thereafter at the church.
