Nelson L. Arnold, 90, entered into rest at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, January 21, 2007, at Rest Haven.

He was the husband of Floe E. (Gemmill) Arnold, his wife of over 68 years.

The couple was married on June 25, 1938.

Born in Chanceford Township, on March 20, 1916, he was the son of the late Daniel and Dollie Sclaugh Arnold.

Mr. Arnold was a dairy farmer for many years and was an employee of the former Red Lion Milling Company for 35 years.

He retired from Zell Brothers in 1981. Nelson was a member of the New Bridgeville Fire Company.

He loved bluegrass music and square dancing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Sylvian Arnold and wife, Hilda of Red Lion, Weldon Arnold and wife, Wanda of York, and Julian Arnold and wife, Kathy of Windsor; a daughter, Glenda Heffner, and husband, Palmer of Red Lion; a brother, Daniel W. Arnold of York; a sister, Gertrude Uffelman, and husband, Harry of York; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Viewings will be held Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Burg Funeral Home, Inc., 134 W. Broadway, Red Lion.

The service will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Joseph W. Seitz, retired Lutheran minister, officiating. Burial will be in St. Luke's Lutheran Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be offered to St. Luke's Cemetery Association, 2666 Furnace Road, Red Lion, PA 17356.
