Gertrude M. (Arnold) Uffelman, 94, formerly of Chanceford Township went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Pleasant Acres Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Harry Uffelman, who died October 5, 2008. The couple were long time farmers in Chanceford Township.
Gertrude was born on January 27, 1919 in Lucky, PA, the daughter of the late Daniel R. and Dollie M. (Schlag) Myers Arnold.
She enjoyed country music and attended many concerts with her husband at Sunset and Valley View Parks.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Daniel M. Arnold and Nelson L. Arnold. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate Gertrude's life will be held at the Austin H. Eberly Funeral Home, 104 W. Main St., Dallastown on Friday, February 15 beginning at 11:00AM. A time to share memories and an opportunity to view will be from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions in Gertrude's name may be made to the Pleasant Acres Nursing Home, 118 Pleasant Acres Road, York, PA 17402.
