Passed away Aug. 3 at his residence. Mr. Bernhardt was born in Cassville, Wis. on Nov. 19, 1867. Before his retirement 12 years ago, he had been affiliated with the Monarch Shoe Co. for many years. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Catholic Knights of Wisconsin and Holy Name Society.

Surviving are his wife, Magdalene, one son, four daughters, thirteen grandchildren, one sister and one brother all of Racine.

Funeral services will be held Friday, 9:30 am, at the Strouf Funeral Home and 10 am at St. Mary's Catholic church, Rev. John J. Stehling officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kinzie Ave.
