Anna Nuss, 79, of 20 S. Fairmont Ave., died Tuesday morning in a local hospital after a short illness.
A native of Russia, Mrs. Nuss moved to Canada with her parents when she was seven years old. She moved to Scottsbluff, Neb. with her family in 1912 and attended school there.
On Feb. 12, 1916, she married Jacob K. Nuss in that town.
They lived there until 1934, when they moved to Lodi.
She was a member of First Baptist Church. She and her husband had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this year.
She is survived by her husband; three sons, Reuben Nuss of Lodi, Harry Nuss of Monte Sereno and Jake R. Nuss of Lodi; three daughters, Mrs. Pauline Duart of Morro Bay, Mrs. Lillian Palmer of Stockton and Mrs. Clair Shively of Lodi; five brothers, John Schmunk, Alex Schmunk, Henry Schmunk and Harry Schmunk, all of Scottsbluff, Neb., and Reuben Schmunk of Vancouver, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gabel of Minatare, Neb. and Mrs. Hilda Haun of Gering Neb.; and 12 grandchildren.
Interment in Cherokee Memorial Park
