Mr. Villarreal was born Oct. 24, 1926, in Berclair and was a graduate of Southwest Texas State University, receiving a bachelor of science and a master’s degree in education. He was an educator for 44 years in EISD. He touched many lives and was also a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Santiago and Guadalupe Villarreal; and siblings Simona, Encarnacion, Elias, Rosa, Lupe, Reynaldo, Maria and Carmen.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Eulalia R. Villarreal; sons, Daniel Villarreal Jr. and Andrew (Dana) Villarreal; daughter, Diana (Steve) Garcia; grandchildren, Steven Garcia II and Jessica Rios; and numerous nieces and nephews.
