Mrs. Oberst died Apr. 23 in a Portland hospital.
Born Nov. 23, 1884 in Gabel, Russia, she moved to Topeka, Kans. in 1905.
Thereafter, she moved to Portland, Silverton, Vernonia, Hubbard, Gervais and Woodburn, Ore. before returning to Portland in 1936.
She was married to George Oberst in 1905; he died in 1952.
Mrs. Oberst had worked for 25 years in the building maintenance section of Selling building in downtown Portland. She was a member of Local 149, Building Service Employees.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond of Milwaukie, Clarence of Deerfield Bearch, Fla., Edward of King City and George of Tacoma, Wash.; three daughters, Margaret Burns of Salem, Pauline Hofman of Hines, Ore., and Mary Teresi of Portland; 23 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Burial was at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Portland, with arrangements by Ceake Memorial Chapel.
