Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers Funeral Home, Linton, where a vigil service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Harry was born Sept. 30, 1911, in a sod house on the family farm west of Strasburg, the son of Max and Philomena (Brickner) Heidrich. He attended country schools in Strasburg until the sixth grade, and then began farming with his father.
He married Elizabeth Deisz on Nov. 7, 1939, at Holy Trinity Church in Krassna. They were married in a double wedding ceremony with his sister and brother-in-law, Rofina and John Brown.
Harry enjoyed farming, fishing, playing cards and, most of all, spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Heidrich, Linton; two sons and daughters-in-law, DeWayne and Janice Heidrich, Strasburg, and Richard and Mary Heidrich, Bismarck; one daughter and son-in-law, Phyllis and Louie Dolen, Harrisonville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren, LeeAnn, Lynette, Lisa, Jamie, Kim, Robert, Brian, Kelly, Chris, Kayla and Julie; one step-granddaughter, Angie; 12 great-grandchildren, Stacy, Nathan, Austin, Elizabeth, Michelle, Jennifer, Eric, Morgan, Brooke, Cody, Andrew and Matthew; three step-great-grandchildren; two brothers and four sisters-in-law, Max and Irene Heidrich, Magnus and Helen Heidrich, Alice Heidrich and Ramona Heidrich, all of Strasburg; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Hermina and Jack Jochim, Strasburg, and Veronica and John Paul, Arvada, Colo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Edmund, Carl, Jacob, Anselm and Eugene Heidrich; and three sisters, Anna Braun, Rofina Brown and Rosina Voller.
