Mrs. Richard was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 64 years, Harold P. Richard. Her most treasured moments were cooking and spending time with her family. Her warm smile and gentle nature will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her husband, Deacon Harold Richard of Breaux Bridge; two daughters, Jeanette Romero, and her husband, Glynn, of Lafayette, and Theresa Gonzales and her husband, Jimmy, of Houston, TX; three sisters, Mrs. L.L. (Eula) Vincent, Mrs. Dalton (Flo) Landry, and Mrs. Merlyn (Nedia) LaChaussee, Sr., all of Lafayette; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Celine Boudreaux Dupont; three brothers, Camille Dupont, Emile "Melo" Dupont, and Clovis Dupont; three sisters, Irene Dupont, Mrs. Foster (Adele) Broussard, and Mrs. Sardy (Anita) Bernard.
