Aged Resident Of Elyria Is Dead

Mrs. Catherine Parsch Passed Away at he Home on East Broad Street

Mrs. Catherine Parsch died at her home, 217 East Broad street, Sunday afternoon, about five thirty. Old age and a complication of diseases are responsible for her demise although she has been steadily declining since the death of her husband, a little over two years ago.
Mrs. Parsch, who was seventy one years of age, was born in Ireland and previous to her marriage lived in Cleveland. She married Christian Parsch April 25, 1859 and came at once to Elyria and has since made this city her home, enjoying the friendship of many and the respect of all. Nine children were born to them, of which number six are still living. They are William John and Peter, of Parsch Lumber Co., Elyria, Mrs. Annie Tyler, Mrs. Mary Esker and Mrs. Lucy McCarvel, also of Elyria.
The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at nine o'clock in St. Mary's church of which she has long been a member. The services will be in charge of Rev. T.J. Sheffield, assisted by Rev. Eugene Duffy, of Cleveland, and Rev. Albert Kistner.
