Eddie attended the public schools of Georgetown County in South Carolina.
After working 32 years at the Longhorn Restaurant, Eddie retired and became the “Community Lawn Man”. He enjoyed riding around on his tractor and lawn mower delivering well groomed lawns. Eddie’s main pleasure was preparing meals to satisfy your appetite as he cut your lawn and talk constant noise.
In 1966, he married the former Peggy Young and was blessed with five children; Etta, Sylvia, Sherrell, Lamar, and Peptia.
In 1981, he married the former Patricia Brown-Busbee and was blessed with two step children; Vincent and Constance Busbee.
Eddie remained married to Patricia until her death in 2002.
Upon his arrival, he will be welcomed by his parents, his wife Patricia; one daughter, Etta; four sisters, Minnie, Ella, Mary, and Patricia; one son, Vincent; and one granddaughter, Victoria.
Eddie leaves to cherish his memories, his children Sylvia, Sherell, Constance, Lamar, and Peptia; One sister, Luetta Gibson; a godson, Windell Smith; a goddaughter, Danielle Smith; six sisters-in-law, Helen, Pearlie Mae, Rebecca, Mona Lisa (Jerry), Amanda, and Consuella (Joe); two brothers-in-law, Joseph and Larry; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren, a special friend, Ms. Yvonne Jordan along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends..
Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be held on Sunday February 22, 2015 at 2:30pm in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church located at 1503 Dirty Branch Road, Conway, S.C. Mr Campbell will lie instate from 1:30 pm to 2:30pm. Interment will be in Pine Island Cemetery.
