Mrs. Mabel Sauer Dies Saturday
Mrs. Mabel G. Sauer of 526 East Eighth Street died Saturday morning at a local rest home following several months of ill health.
She was born Sept. 16, 1884, at Frank, Saratov, Volga, Russia, the daughter of George and Barbara Gettman. In 1893 she came to America, first living in Denver. On January 12, 1905, she was married to Peter Sauer. In 1919 they moved to the Loveland area and farmed near Campion for many years before they retired in 1944.
She was a member of the First Congregational church.
Her husband preceded her in death Nov. 12, 1951.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry A. (Elsie) Hoff of Denver and Mrs. Marion (Annabelle) Stephenson of Loveland; six sons, Edward R. Sauer of Cederedge, Colo., Ben F. Sauer of Loveland, Ray W. Sauer of Milliken, Colo., Theodore M. Sauer, Bowling Green, Ky., Wayne Sauer of Longmont, and Blaine Sauer of Englewood, Colo.; 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Two sons preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday from the First Congregational church with the Rev. Walter Kranzler officiating. Interment services will be at Loveland Burial Park with the Hunter Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
