Somerset Community Hospital, Sunday morning, July 4, at the age of 72 years,
nine months and 27 days.
A daughter of Peter and Matilda (Sarver) Hersh, she was born in Berlin,
September 7, 1875.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Karl
Kerchensteiner, Meyersdale, R.D. 3; Harvey Kerchensteiner, Sand Patch, and Frank
Kerchensteiner, Somerset; two daughters - Mrs. Homer Altmiller and Mrs. Robert
Herwig, Friedens; one sister, Mrs. Effie Long, and one brother, Frank Hersh,
both of Michawka, Ind.; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, in the Price Funeral
Home by the Rev. J. Ewing Jones, pastor of Hostetler Church of the Brethren.
Interment was made in Union Cemetery, under direction of W. C. Price & Son.
