Agnes A. McGee, 94, of Grand Island died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001, at Wedgewood Care Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at All Faiths Funeral Home. The Rev. Del Roper will officiate. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. McGee was born Aug. 21, 1907, at Howells to Frank and Anna (Kudera) Kment. She grew up in Schuyler and attended Fischer School north of Schuyler. She married Bert E. McGee on Dec. 24, 1929, in Sioux City, Iowa. The couple had lived in the Grand Island area since 1945. She was employed in the kitchens at Lutheran Memorial and St. Francis hospitals and Conoco Café in Grand Island. Her husband died in 1999. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and the Platt-Duetsche. She was past president of the PTA at Chapman Public Schools and past president of First United Methodist Church Ladies Aid Society in Chapman. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, M. E. "Bud" and Lucille McGee of Denver; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jack Madsen of Grand Island, Patricia and Robert Wilson of Edmond, Okla., and Anne Kelsey of Rockville; a daughter-in-law, Ruth McGee of Grand Island; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and three sisters, Alice Valish of Columbus, Lillian Dworak of Schuyler and Emma Valish of Chevy Chase, Md. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis, two brothers, Leonard and Frank T. Kment, and a grandchild.
