Nadine Wimmer Vogel, 67, resident of Durham, N.C. passed away Saturday, May 20, 2006. She was born in Floyd County, Va., the daughter of L. Z. Wimmer and the late Harless Wimmer. Mrs. Vogel is also preceded in death by her husband, Walter R. Vogel and her mother and father-in-law, Fanny Hilscher Vogel and Anton Vogel. She retired from the Environmental Protection Agency and was a member of Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Reimer and husband, Tony of Wake Forest; two granddaughters, Ellyn Grace and Hannah Danielle Reimer; four sisters, Jeannette Burnside and husband Joe, Barbara Poff and husband David, Linda Rosenbloom and husband, Shelly, Amy Dawn Wimmer; a brother, Michael Wimmer and wife Melissa, all of Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church with Dr. Rev. Bill Snotherly and Rev. Bess Hunnings officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Clements Funeral Home in Durham. Burial will follow in Huffville Methodist Church Cemetery in Pilot, VA on Tuesday at 3 p.m. with Rev. Dan Walker officiating. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Mt. Sylvan United Methodist Church, 5731 N. Roxboro Rd. Durham, NC 27712.
