Linda was born Oct. 5, 1948, in Harvey, the third child, second daughter of John and Anna (Mertz) Strobel. She attended school in Denhoff and Goodrich and graduated in 1967. While in school, Linda was active in band. She married Edmund Doll on Dec. 28, 1968.
Linda worked at Townhouse Inn (now Kelly Inn), Bismarck Hospital (now Sanford Health), Wills Seed Plant and Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center. Linda retired in the mid-1980s due to health issues, specifically arthritis.
She was a member of Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church. Linda loved to garden when able and was very proud of her beautiful flower beds. Butterflies held a special place with her. Her family was her everything.
Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Edmund Doll; her parents, John and Anna Strobel; her brother, Johnny Strobel; her in-laws, Thomas and Margaret Doll; her brothers-in-law, Ervin Gunsch, Cam Doll and Dean Doll; her sisters-in-law, Judy Strobel and Leocardia Doll; her son-in-law, Gerald “Jerry” Huber; her nephews, Bob Laib and Richard “Ricky” Werle; and several cousins.
