Dr. Reed Simpson, county coroner, said Mr. Kaiser, who had previously been under a doctor's care, was dead on arrival at St, Nicholas Hospital where he was taken by police ambulance. The victim was leaning on a shovel, talking with neighbors, when stricken. Dr. Simpson said the heart attack was brought on by over-exhaustion from snow shoveling.
A native of Rhinewald. Russia, he was born June 28, 1897, a son of the late Henry and Eva Kaiser. He came to Sheboygan with his parents in 1909, attending Trinity Lutheran School. Mr. Kaiser joined the Water Department in March, 1930, working most of the time with the construction and maintenance crew. During late years, and up to the time of death, be had been a custodian at the North Point filtration plant. On April 27, 1918. he married Lydia Weber of this city.
Surviving are his wife; a son. Master Sgf. Raymond, stationed at Fort Riley, Kan.; two daughters, Mrs. Hugo Littmann (Wilma) and Mrs. Robert Beringer (Marion), Sheboygan; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; two brothers, Henry, Sheboygan, and John, Waldo: and two sisters, Mrs, Emily Peicben and Mrs. Joseph Steibert, Sheboygan, Two children preceded him in death. One was a son, Pfc. Victor, killed during the Aleutian Islands campaign of World War II.
Last rites will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, of which he was a member. The Rev. Karl Schulz, pastor, will officiate, with burial in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the Ball-horn Funeral Chapels from 2 p.m* Friday until 11 a.m. Saturday and from noon at the church.
