The former Emily Kaiser was born in Reinwald, Russia, June 5, 1899. She came to the Sheboygan area with her family in 1909.
On June 22, 1918, she married Arthur Pelchen in Sheboygan. Mr. Pelchen died May 27, 1975.
She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the Frauenverein of the church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. William (Ruth) Plant of Auburn, Wash., and Mrs. Frank (Lucille) Pope of Wilmette, Ill.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a sister. Mrs. Ida Stieber of Sunny Ridge.
Funeral services will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. at Nickel-Lippert Funeral Home. The Rev. Edwin C. Bek. pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday after 4 p.m. until the time of services.
