About two weeks ago she sustained a fall, breaking her hip and the complications which ensued as a result of the accident caused her death.
She was born in Leistadt, Reinland, Bavaria, on July 20, 1825. It was there she married Johann Adam Dehs.
Twenty one years ago they came to this country and in 1888 removed to this city.
Mrs. Dehs attended St. Joseph's Church and was member of the Altar Society of St. Mary's Church.
She was a woman of exemplary character and was held in universally high esteem.
She is survived by one son, John Dehs of this city; four daughters, Mrs. Ernest Vaeth, Mrs. Susannah Ritter and Mrs. Henry Kuse, all of this city and Mrs. George L. Braun of New York and by 11 grandchildren. Utica Daily Press, Friday Morning, March 1, 1901
