Magdalena Walter, 99, Minot, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, in a Minot nursing home.

Magdalena was born on December 19, 1915, in Berwick, ND, the daughter of Sylvester and Emilia (Burckhard) Wolf. She attended country school and was later united in marriage to George Walter in Berwick, ND on February 24, 1936.

The couple farmed in the Berwick and Orrin, ND area. When they retired from farming they moved to Minot where Magdalena and her family cleaned Fisher Motors. Magdalena later went to work for Trinity Hospital as a custodian and retired at age 63.

She was a member at St. Leo’s Catholic Church and the Moose Lodge, Minot.

Magdalena loved to dance, play cards, visit with family and friends and kept a spotless house.

Survivors: sons, Robert Walter, Minot and Charles (Beverly) Walter, Raymond, MO; daughters, Audrey (LeRoy) Dunkel, St. George, UT, Gladys (Bob) Dastous, Henderson, NV, Alice (Ron) Homberg, Detroit, MI and Sharon Walter, Jacksonville, FL; 20 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; brother, Leo (Marlene) Wolf, Towner, ND and sisters, Theresa Wolf, Milwaukee, WI, Marian Wolf, Minot, Bertha Wolf, Sacramento, CA and Cecilia (Christ) Wolf, Towner, ND.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Lee Yoder, stillborn son, Michael and numerous brothers and sisters.
