Ronald L. Steinlage, 74, of Kelly, KS, died Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Life Care Center of Seneca.

He was born January 12, 1941, on a farm south of Kelly, the son of Ferdinand and Dora Haverkamp Steinlage. He attended St. Bede’s School and graduated in 1959. Ron worked on the family farm where he lived all of his life. Ron took great pride in being a successful farmer and stockman.

He was a member of St. Bede’s Church in Kelly, was on the Harrison Township Board. He dedicated his life to farming and hard work, he was a great pie maker, he also loved to fish and hunt. Ron was a very hard working, quiet and soft spoken individual with a quick smile and a good sense of humor. He put his family first and enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. His many nieces and nephews have fond memories of when he played and teased with them. he will always be known as Uncle Ronnie.

Survivors are his brothers, Norbert and Elton; and three sisters, Melita Bodensteiner, Alma Kramer and Geraldine Kramer.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Lorena Olberding on September 10, 1998 and a brother Francis Steinlage on January 15, 2004.

Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 15th at St. Bede’s Church in Kelly. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
