Funeral services were held Friday for Roy A. Seader of Hardin. Masonic rites were at the First Congregational Church, UCC, of Hardin, with Rev. Bill Tibbs officiating.

Interment was held at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings.

Seader, 62, died December 27 in Big Horn County Memorial Hospital. A painting contractor, Seader enjoyed his family, gardening, and watching sports.

He was born in 1921 in McGrew, Nebraska, the son of Adam and Amelia Seader. The family moved to Fairview in 1929, where he received his schooling.

Seader farmed with his father and then moved to the Forsyth area in 1935, where he farmed and started a painting business. He moved to Billings for a time and then to Hardin in 1956.

He married Jean Holmes in Hardin in 1959 and retired in 1980 due to ill health.

Seader was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Hardin Senior Citizens, and the First Congregational Church, UCC of Hardin.

He is survived by his widow, Jean Seader of Hardin; three daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Terri) Gambill, Mrs. Douglas (Bobbie) Wilson, and Mrs. Will (Sandi) Bernhagen, all of Billings; four brothers, Fred of Hardin, William of Fairview, John of Shepherd, and Robert of Billings; and seven sisters, Mrs. Oscar (Mollie) Hein and Mrs. Jack (Norma) Steinbeck of Billings, Mrs. Reuben (Mabel) Bastrom of Hardin, Mrs. Miles (Ollie) Norton, Mrs. Ed (Shirley) Fischer, and Mrs. Otto (Evelyn) Bendewald, all of Forsyth, Mrs. Larry (Sharon) Williams of Hysham, and Mrs. Harry (Eleanor) Benner of Laurel.
