Ann was born in Queen Caroline Parish of Anne Arundel County.

She and Thomas Snowden were wed in 1774. Their home was New "Montpelier" in Prince George's County, which stands just SE of Laurel, upon the Great Northern & Southern Post Road between Washington & Annapolis. It was the stopping place of George Washington on his trips from Mount Vernon to Annapolis.

They were blessed with four children:

Richard (Maj.) Snowden
Thomas Snowden, III
Mary Snowden
Nicholas Snowden

It was Good Friday of 1824 when she breathed her last breath.
