Debra Ann (Bieker) Oppliger, 47, Hays, died Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010, at her home.

She was born July 5, 1963, in Hays to Ben and Dixie (Fuller) Bieker.

She attended school in Ellis and received a nursing degree from North Central Technical College.

She married Kelly Dean Oppliger on June 21, 1991, in Hays.

She was a licensed practical nurse for more than 20 years at Hays Good Samaritan Center. She enjoyed being a homemaker, gardening and yard work.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; three daughters, Jessica Whittington and husband, Rodney, Lenexa, Rachel Trendel, Hays, and Kelli Opplinger, of the home; her mother, Ellis; two brothers, Mark Bieker, Hays, and Ben Bieker and wife, Pam, Ellis; a sister, Tammy Huff and husband, Robert, Hays; and five grandchildren, Taylor and Hudson, both of Lenexa, and Kylie, Andrew and Carter, all of Hays.

She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Thomas Bieker.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, 2509 Vine, Hays; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm today at the funeral home.
