Dixie Lee Bieker, 76, Ellis, died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2017, in Ellis. She was born Sept. 23, 1941, in Ellis to Emmett and Viola (Reams) Fuller.

She married Bernard Bieker on July 18, 1959, in Ellis. He preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2003.

She was a 1959 graduate of Ellis High School. She was a homemaker and had worked as a Line Leader for Adronics. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed collecting dolls and playing bingo.

Survivors include two sons, Mark Bieker, Arizona and Ben Bieker, Ellis; a daughter, Tammy Huff and husband, Robert, Towanda; a son-in-law, Kelly Oppliger, Hays; 12 grandchildren, Joshua Bieker, Allison Bieker, Jessica Whittington and husband, Rodney, Rachel Jones and husband, Toby, Kelli Oppliger, Brandon Bieker and wife, Maddison, Blake Bieker, Thomas McElroy and wife Nichole, Samantha McElroy, Jesse Huff and wife Mikayla, Robert Huff Jr, and Victoria Huff; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Debra Oppliger; a son, Thomas Bieker; two brothers, Emmett and James Fuller; and three sisters, Margie Bieker, Betty Jane Legleiter and Mary Ellis.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary Cemetery, Ellis. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Keithley Funeral Chapel, 400 East 17th, Hays, KS 67601. A combined rosary/vigil will be at 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel. Memorials are suggested to Dixie Bieker Memorial Fund to be used according to the wishes of the family in care of the funeral chapel.
