Julia Reck, age 70, of Bridgeport, CT, died in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born to the late William and Mary F. McGuire Reck. She was a lifelong area resident.

Ms. Reck was a former secretary at Park City Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital. She was a graduate of St. Charles Grammar School and Warren Harding High School, she also was a member of Council of Catholic Women, former member of Ladies Guild of St. Peter's Church, Bridgeport; Association of Insurance Women, Park City Mixed Bowling League, and Park City Recreation Club. She was an avid UConn and Boston Red Sox fan.

Survivors include a sister, Elsie Van Stone of Bridgeport; and several nieces and nephews; Ray and Judy Van Stone, Nancy and Arthur Raymond Lucas, Charles and Charlene Van Stone, Rich and Bonnie Van Stone, Patricia Mayor, Mary Lou Smith, Mary Ellen and Nick Casceillo, Tom and Kathy Van Stone, William and Peggy Van Stone; and 18 great-nieces and great-nephews; 20 grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and two special cousins Betty and Ron Barber of Stratford. She was predeceased by three sisters, Mary Reck, Jeannie Dunsmore and Agnes Reck; two brothers-in-law, Ray Van Stone and James Dunsmore; a great-nephew, Arthur Lucas and a great-niece, Ann Keyser.

Funeral services were held in St. Patrick's Church, Bridgeport.
