LaVonne (Bonnie) Marie Cochran, 80, of San Marcos, California, died Wednesday, Aril 20, 2005 at home. Cremation with private family interment is planned.

LaVonne Marie Schoening was born August 29, 1924 in Primghar, Iowa, to Heny Schoening and Annie Horstmann. She graduated from high school in Primghar in 1942.

She married Dale Lee Cochran on December 1, 1945 in Sheldon, Iowa. The family lived in Des Moines until 1962 and moved to San Diego, California. She lived in Pacific Beach and Loma Portal until 1990. She was a resident of Encinitas and Escondido, California from 1900 to 1998, and lived at Silvergate Assisted Living Residence from 199 until the time of her death.

Many will remember Bonnie for her sense of humor and her laugh.

Survivors include two daughters, Chris Trelease of Solana Beach, California, and Roxie Lemley, of Pacific Beach, California; one son Kirk Cochran, of Charlott, North Carolina; two brothers, Milot Schoening of Primghar, Iowa and Kenny Schoening of Kingman, Arizona; one sister, Mary Ann Sauer of cherokee, Iowa; one grandchild, Jennifer Lemley of Los Angeles California.

She was preced in death by her husband, Dale, in 1988; by her parents and three brothers, Merline, Glen and Orville Schoening.

The family plans private services.
