Alvin Keberlein, 67, 1320 Felten, died Sunday, Feb. 12, at St. Anthony Hospital, after a long illness. He was born Nov. 4, 1916 at Antonino, the son of Joseph and Pauline (Leiker) Keberlein.

He married Georgine Weigel, Oct. 14, 1940 at Hays.

He was a retired general laborer and had been a longtime Hays resident. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council no. 1325, both of Hays.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Darrell, Hays; three brothers, Lonnie, Denver, Colo., Walt, Santa Ana, Calif., and Vernal, Flagstaff, Ariz.; two sisters, Rosemary Riutzel, Denver, and Vera Williams, Chino, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Father Daniel Scheetz officiated; burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials to St. Nicholas Catholic Church Building Fund or Hospice of Hays.
