The wedding of Miss Edith Perry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Sergeant Perry, and Mr. Edward Ballantine, will take place very quietly on Saturday, at noon, in the home of the bride on Marlboro street. The ceremony will be performed by Dr. William Gay Ballantine of Springfield, father of the bride groom. There will be no best man, nor bridesmaids, and the only guests will be the members of the two families. On their return from their honeymoon, Mrs. Ballantine and his bride will live at 497 Beacon street. Miss Perry's father is a writer and her mother is the artist, Mrs. Lilla Cabot Perry. Her sisters are Miss Margaret Perry, and Mrs. Joseph Clark Grew, whose husband is the first secretary of the American embassy in Berlin. Mr. Ballantine is an instructor with the music department at Harvard. He is also a composer. He studied music at Harvard and in Berlin. His brothers and sisters are Mr. and Mrs. Henry W. Ballantine, the former a professor of law in the University of Wisconsin; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur A. Ballantine, the former a lawyer in Boston, and Miss Mary Ballantine. Mr. Ballantine's father and mother, Dr. and Mrs. William Gay Ballantine, live in Springfield. Dr, Balantine is is well known as a writer and educator.
