FRANKLIN V. HANSEN
Funeral services for the late Frank Hansen, who met his death last Wednesday in the wreck at Sherman, S. Dak., were held last Saturday afternoon.
Franklin Victor Hansen was born on March 23, 1879 at Urness, Douglas county, MInnesota. At an early age he went to Chicago, where his youth was spent. At the age of eighteen he left school, and joined the First Illinois Cavalry, with which he served during the Spanish-Amerian war. At the close of the war, he entered the employ of the Great Northern, and he remained with them until his death, seventeen years in all. On the 23rd day of May, 1906, he was united in marriage with Miss Laura Mae Hanson of Sioux Falls, S. Dak., who, with one son, Lyle, aged nin years, is left to mourn his untimely death. He is also survived by five brothers - four of whom were present at the funeral, namely Ed., of Willmar, MN or Alexandria? , Will, of Chicago; Conrad of New Salem, N. D., and Alfred of Park Falls, Wis. Another brother, Harry, also survives but was unable to attend the funeral. Willmar Tribune.
