Anna (Ptach) Liske was the daughter of Franz Ptach and Barbara Wielestowska and the stepdaughter of August Witt. She was born in Strzebielno in former West Prussia and baptized in Luzino.

Anna Ptach married Joseph Liske at St. Josaphat Church in Chicago in 1886. They had five children: Mary, Frances, Anna, Joseph, and Bernard.
