Andreas Zillig, 57, of Chenango Lake Rd., Norwich, died Thursday Oct 30, 1969, at the Chenango Memorial Hospital after a short illness. A native of Germany, he and his family moved to the U.S. in 1953, settling in Norwich. From 1953-1958 he worked for GLA as a tool and dye maker. In March 1958, Mr. Zillig along with Ralph St. Dennis and Frank Moore, both of Norwich, co founder Norwich Manufacturing Co. He remained a associate of Norwich Manufacturing until July of this years when he returned to GLA. He was a member of the Norwich Lodge 302 F and A.M. He is survived by his wife Erna Zeitner Zillig, whom he married Schweinfurt, Germany, June 29, 1937; two daughters, Mrs. Albert(Ursela)Sadler, of White Plains; Mrs. Lyndon(Bridget)Sanford of Wendell, N.C., a son, Guenter Zillig, of Whitesboro; a sister, Mrs. Robert(Eva)Deutscher of Saugerties; and three grandchildren, Steven, Lisa and David Sanford, all of Wendell, N.C. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from the Robert J. Fahy Funeral Home of Norwich. The Rev. Myron E. Gaenecke, Pastor of The Christ Evangelical Luther n Church of Norwich, will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7-10. Norwich Lodge F & AM 302 will conduct memorial services at the funeral home tonight at 7:15. [Newspaper Obit]
