MRS. KATHERINE ABIG; ST. PETER’S LUTHERAN SERVICE IS SET.
Mrs. Katherine Abig, 83, a resident of Rolling Meadows, died at 1:10 a.m. today at St. Agnes Hospital.
Mrs. Abig was born June 22, `1882, in Grimm, Russia. She was married to George J. Abig. He died Jan. 14, 1963. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Emma Abig, city; three sons, Jacob, Waupun, Albert, Norwalk, Conn., and Alex, city; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Schaefer, State of Washington. She was preceded in death by one daughter.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Uecker-Witt Funeral Home until 11 a.m. Thursday when the body will be removed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and lie in state frm11:30 a.m. until the 2 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Karl A. Gurgel officiating. Burial will be in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Earl Rolloff was the organist and members of the Children's Choir sang.
Burial was in Ledgeview Memorial Park Cemetery.
