Antonio Bevilacqua, of Nelson, who retired in 1960 as a foreman for the North Western Railroad, died Wednesday night in Community Hospital, Sterling, shortly after being admitted.
A foreman for the railroad 48 years, he was born July 19, 1893 in Amaseno, Italy, the son of Antonio and Giltruda Bianchi Bevilacqua. He came to the U. S. as a young man and spent most of his life in the Nelson area. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dixon, and the Brotherhood of Railroad Retirement. He served in the Army during World War I.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
