Mrs. Joseph Schwing, 94 of 826 N. German, died Saturday at the Union Hospital. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 PM at the Gedstad-Hines Funeral Home. Burial will be in the city cemetery. The Rev. Keith Duehn of Sleepy Eye will be officiating. Visitation will be at Gedstad-Hines on Monday from 3 PM until 9 PM and Tuesday until time of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Meidl and Arlean P Schwing, both of New Ulm; one sister Mrs. Robert Hughes of Mankato. Also there are five grandchildren, several great grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.
Susan was born on July 11, 1877 in Lafayette Township to Mr. and Mrs. George Altmann. She was married to John Wild Feb 11, 1895. He died May 4, 1900 in Medina, S.D. On May 30, 1912 she married Joseph Schwing.
She was a seamstress for many years and liked to work in the garden.
