Julius Meyer, 67, of 417 South 20th Street, died at his home at 2:45am today after a lingering illness. He was seriously ill the last three weeks.
He was born here March 7, 1880, a son of Peter and Elizabeth Meyer, nee Gahr; and married Mary E. Sieben at Nashville, Ill., May 8, 1902.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Leslie, who lives in Missouri; a brother, William Meyer of 18 North 14th Street; and three sisters, Mrs. Emma Sullivan of East St. Louis; Mrs. Anna Obst of Chicago; and Mrs. Ella Miller of 4820 Walter Street. Two grandsons also survive.
Meyer was a member of the Metal Polishers Local 138.
Arrangements for the funeral have not been completed.
