Florence C. “Flo” Peacock 84, died September 6, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born October 23, 1930 in Coalport, daughter of the late Andrew and Florence (Warchol) Gondek. Preceded in death by brothers: Thaddeus Gondek, Walter Gondek, George Gondek, Jacob Gunia, Stanley Gunia, Anthony Gunia and Andrew Gunia. Survived by daughter: Lori J.Snyder(Richard W. ll) Coalport Sisters: Stella Paule Redford, MI, Nellie Shomo Westland, MI.

Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Flo graduated from Coalport-Irvona High School Class of 1948. She retired after 20 years as a baker at Leyo’s Supermarket following 8 years at James Industries in Hollidaysburg. She served most recently as a RSVP volunteer at the Glendale Area Public Library and Coalport Coal Museum. Member of St. Basil the Great Roman Catholic Church, Coalport, where funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Thursday September 10, 2015, Rev. Justin P. Pino, Celebrant. Interment, St. Basil Catholic Cemetery, Coalport. Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at the Gibbons Funeral Home, 1085 Main St., Coalport, PA 16627, where a Vigil Service will be held Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Coalport Area Coal Museum, P.O. Box 248, Coalport, PA 16627 in Flo’s memory.
