Ronald Allen Gruber passed away on October 14, 2015 in Visalia at the age of 82. Ronald was an Apprentice Petty Officer Second Class in the (Seabees) Navy. Ronald is preceded in death by his parents John and Cecilia Gruber, his brothers and sisters Wilmer Gruber, Martha Grimes, Gerry Hill, and Leslie Gruber. Ronald is survived by his wife Peggy, and children Connie (Joe) Anaya, Jeff (Karen) Gruber,, Barbara (Scott) Blackwell and Mark (Cathy) Gruber, step children Fred (Sharon) Chastain, and Bruce (LaVonne) Chastain. Ronald is also survived by his brothers and sisters Millie Roehrig, Vandy Maxwell, Elroy Gruber, and Reuben Gruber and grandchildren Michael, Michelle, Bryan, Jennifer, Randy, Troy, Cory, Tiffani, Todd, Matt, Brad, Seth and BreeAnn; great-grandchildren Ezekiel, Eden, Brendan, Alyssa, Reagan, Cecilia, Joey, Nathan, Kendra, Blake, Levi, and Madalynn. Ronald was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Elks Lodge Vagabonds, Moose Lodge, Horseless Carriage Club, Vapors Trailer Club and the American Legion. He was acknowledges for his efforts and awarded the Elks Veteran of the Year in 2000, Elks Club People’s Choice Car Trophy in 2009, Designed his own Slip Form System for the Construction of Concrete Silos, Built Concrete Silos throughout the United States for 39 years, was a private pilot for 30 years and a farmer for many years. Ronald will be missed but not forgotten by his family and all who knew him. Visitation will be held at 4 PM till 7 PM on Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel. A rosary will be prayed at 6 PM on Wednesday, Oct 21, 2015 at Salser and Dillard Funeral Chapel.
