Age 91, formerly of Wesleyville, daughter of the late Clarence and Loretta Ryan Kingston. Rita was a 1942 graduate of Villa Maria Academy High School. After graduation, she was employed in various places. In 1967, she went to work for Erie Mfg. and Supply where she worked in the Accounting Department and retired in 1984 after working 17 years there. She enjoyed playing poker, euchre, traveling, watching Notre Dame football games, and attended sporting events with her children and grandchildren. She was a dedicated parishioner of St. James Church.

Besides her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, James, in 2009; her daughter, Carol Phillips Dumanski, in 1992; two brothers, James Kingston, Erie, and Jack Kingston, Brandon, Fla.; three sisters, Ann Snyder, Erie, Geraldine Kearney, Fairport, N.Y. and Ruth Lowman, Hamburg, N.Y.

She is survived by a daughter, Mary Beth Phillips McMann (Ernest) of Erie; and sons, James Phillips of Wesleyville, and Gerard Phillips of Austin, Texas; son-in-law, Joseph Dumanski (Heidi) of Harborcreek; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers-in-law, John (Charlotte) Phillips of Cambridge Springs and Paul Phillips (Maryann Piscitelli) of Erie.

Interment will be at Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.
