Marie Kerbs Passes Away
Mrs. Marie A. Kerbs of 111 South Pleasant avenue, Lodi, passed away at her home late last evening following a long illness.
A native of North Russia, Mrs. Kerbs was 71 years of age, and had come to the United States 44 years ago from her native and. She had been a resident of Lodi for the past two years.
She was the wife of the late George Kerbs, and mother of Mrs. Elizabeth Weimer of Lodi, Mrs. Marie Beard of Lodi, Mrs. Molly Irving of Oakland and Mrs. Millie Evans of Lodi.
In addition she is survived by the following grandchildren: Harry Weimer of Sacramento, Elmer Weimer of Lodi, Charles Weimer, gunner's mate 3/C U.S. Navy; Robert Schenker, signalman, 2/C US. Navy; Edmund Rice of Lodi, Rosalie Irving of Lodi.
Mrs. Kerbs, who came from the great Volga farming country of Russia, together with her husband, farmed for a number of years near Kansas City, Missouri. A year prior to coming to Lodi they farmed at Fulton, Missouri. While in Lodi she attended the American Lutheran Church.
